Nova Switch Privacy Policy

Nova Switch is an Android phone-migration and local file-transfer application published by Ubayra Labs. This policy explains the behavior of version 1.0.0.

Data the app can access

Nova Switch accesses a category only after you choose it and grant the corresponding Android permission. Depending on your selection and device support, this may include photos, videos, audio, documents, contacts, SMS messages, call history, calendar events and installed-app packages.

The app also handles temporary local connection information such as a device display name, local network address, pairing code, QR payload and temporary private-hotspot credentials. Camera access is used only while scanning a Nova Switch QR code.

How selected data is used

Selected content is read on the sending phone, encrypted in transit and sent directly to the receiving phone over the local connection. Nova Switch does not use a cloud relay and does not upload transfer content to a Nova Switch server.

Received media and documents are saved through Android storage APIs. Supported folder paths and file dates are retained where Android permits. Contacts and calendar records require an explicit import action. SMS and call-history backup files remain user-controlled and are not silently restored. App packages require Android’s package-installer confirmation.

Collection, sharing, advertising and analytics

Version 1.0.0 contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, account system, cloud storage or remote tracking service. Ubayra Labs does not collect or sell transfer content. A transfer to the receiving phone is initiated and directed by you.

Before public release, Ubayra Labs will re-audit the signed application, merged permissions and included SDKs. This policy and the Google Play Data safety form must remain consistent with the released build.

Retention and deletion

Temporary transfer checkpoints remain on the receiving phone only while needed to resume or verify an interrupted transfer. They are removed after successful completion is acknowledged. Completed files and imported records remain under your Android storage and record-management controls.

Nova Switch does not create an online account and does not keep a server-side account record. You can delete transferred content using the corresponding Android gallery, files, contacts, calendar, messaging or package-management application.

Security

Nova Switch uses an ephemeral ECDH session agreement, direction-specific authenticated AES-GCM channels, per-chunk SHA-256 verification, receiver approval, resumable checkpoints and encrypted completion confirmation. No security design can eliminate every risk. Transfer only with a phone you recognize and keep both devices nearby and unlocked.

Android limitations

Nova Switch cannot copy saved Wi-Fi passwords, protected app data, logged-in accounts, DRM-protected content or private operating-system settings that Android does not expose to third-party applications. Some data categories are also subject to device compatibility, Android confirmation and Google Play permission approval.

Children

Nova Switch is a general utility and is not directed to children.
